About Only Fair

So, for those of you that don’t know (and I know that’s a lot of you!), Only Fair is an internet based business specialising in fairly traded goods. We’ve got a wide range of affordable gifts from around the world.

The site was launched in August 2007 but was a work in progress for many months before.

Why did I set up Only Fair? Well, I’ve worked as a Legal Secretary for over seven years and quite honestly, it was time for a change. Setting up Only Fair gave me an opportunity to work for myself and the chance to promote something I felt passionately about. Although I finished working in the legal sector in April, I have just qualified as a paralegal. I still do some work in this sector, although as an outsourced typist (and not so much recently) which is much more enjoyable.

Whilst I’m very keen to promote the website, I’m also offering fair trade parties at home, in my local area (Downham Market/King’s Lynn). This gives buyers an opportunity to see things before they purchase them and to see what great quality the items are.

So what’s with the blog?

Well, I decided to set up a blog alongside the website to give people the chance to learn a little bit more about Only Fair, our work and any news we may have.

I’ll also be using the blog as an opportunity to tell you about some of my favourite products and to give you some more information about them.

I want to make fair trade accessible to everyone! I don’t claim to be an expert in all things fair trade, but I do speak honestly and simply about what I believe.
